The technical committee's purpose is to promote professional engineering within the society and advise the Executive Committee on all technical matters and to act as a forum for coordinating the technical and research activities of the society. The technical committee plays an important role in arranging technical sessions for meetings, promoting new developments in their respective fields and representing the Society in joint sponsorship of meetings with other organizations. The Technical Committee also assumes responsibility for their particular coverage of subject matter in publications of the Society.
